High Gloss Maston 2K PU Lacquer

Maston 2K PU High Gloss Lacquer is a 2-component polyurethane lacquer hardened with aliphatic isocyanate resin. Specifically formulated for varnishing vehicles and other transport equipment, this lacquer forms an exceptionally glossy, high-quality surface that offers excellent resistance to solar UV radiation and mechanical stress. It’s designed to be applied directly over basecoats or straight onto substrates, delivering optimal performance and a durable finish that ensures your surfaces maintain their exceptional appearance over time. To be used with Maston 2K PU Paint and Lacquer hardener.

APPLICATION TIME: Within 3 hours after the hardener has been added to the lacquer (2). Carefully open the hardener jar, a small amount of pressure may build up in the jar during storage.

Usage:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Ensure the surface to be painted is sanded or roughened and clean. Use a degreaser for thorough cleaning.
   • The temperature of both the surface and the surrounding air should be above 10°C.
2. Mixing:
   • Thoroughly mix the paint and hardener before adding the mixing.
   • Once the hardener is added, mix until you achieve a homogeneous mixture.
   • If needed, thin the paint using only Maston PU thinner (do not use general thinners or Tinners). Mix again until the mixture is homogeneous.
3. Application:
   • For spray painting, use a nozzle size of 1.3-1.5 mm for a top-feed spray gun, or 1.4-1.6 mm for a bottom-feed spray gun.
4. Safety:
   • Both the paint hardener and the ready-mixed product contain isocyanates. Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
   • Especially during spray painting, we recommend using a powered air-purifying respirator. For intermediate and short-term use, a respirator with an A2-P2 combination filter can be used. Always protect your face and eyes while using a respirator.
