Furniture that is frequently used requires proper surface treatment and regular maintenance. Surface treatment revitalizes the wood, giving it a decorative and refined appearance. It also makes cleaning easier while protecting wooden surfaces from moisture, swelling, and warping.

1. Start

The ideal conditions for treatment are when the surface temperature is +15°C and the humidity is below 80%. This ensures that the oil absorbs into the surface most effectively. Note: An untreated surface may require multiple coats to achieve the best result, while one coat is sufficient for maintenance treatment.

Tools: Lint-free cloth, cleaning tools, sandpaper (if needed), teak oil.

2. Preparation

Clean the surface to be treated, removing any dirt and dust, and lightly sand if necessary. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding with treatment.

3.Handling

You can use spray products to make it easier to treat surfaces such as chair seats and small crevices, or opt for liquid products applied with a lint-free cloth.

Shake the can for 1–3 minutes and spray evenly from a distance of about 25 cm, following the wood grain and the shape of the furniture.

4.Finishing

Allow the surface to dry for approximately 10 minutes, then wipe off any excess oil. If necessary, apply an additional coat after the previous one has dried.

Ensure the surface is completely dry before use. It should be fully dry by the next day at the latest. We recommend wearing protective clothing and goggles. Be sure to cover any areas you don’t want to treat. Applying multiple coats will result in a darker finish.
